I’m covering the NBA action today and two college basketball games. Let’s make some money on Monday!
🏀NBA Picks & Analysis Today - Monday, 3/3
📍 Golden State Warriors at Charlotte Hornets (+12.5) ⏰ 7:00 PM ET
The Breakdown:
The Warriors are trending upward after adding Jimmy Butler, winning seven of their last nine. Curry is still leading the charge, and Butler adds much-needed toughness on both ends. Meanwhile, the Hornets have completely fallen apart, sitting at 14-45 with no signs of life. Their defense is not great and the offense is unreliable. It’s a really big number but I lean towards Golden State covering, although this is not a bet I will be making.
🔹 The Play: Warriors -12.5
🎯 Over/Under + Player Props [PREMIUM ONLY]:
✅ Over/Under: Over 228.5
✅ Prop Bets:
Stephen Curry Over 25.5 Points
Jimmy Butler Over 5.5 Assists (+115)
📍 Portland Trail Blazers at Philadelphia 76ers (-3.0) ⏰ 7:00 PM ET
The Breakdown:
It’s hard to choose a side in this one, so I won’t because there are games I like way more. This could go either way. Philly is much better at home than on the road, so I’ll go with them to take this one.
🔹 The Play: 76ers -3.0
🎯 Over/Under + Player Props [PREMIUM ONLY]:
✅ Over/Under: Under 229.0
✅ Prop Bets:
Tyrese Maxey Over 29.5 Points
Anfernee Simons Under 20.5 Points
📍 Washington Wizards at Miami Heat (-8.5) ⏰ 7:30 PM ET
The Breakdown:
The Heat remain one of the best defensive teams in the league. The Wizards, despite are struggling to generate offense and Poole will be out again. Expect Miami to grind them down and control the pace, but I’m also not sure Miami does a great job covering such a large spread here. It feels like the Wizards might hang around with some vets playing the minutes, so I’ll take the Wizards and the points even though it’s an ugly bet!
🔹 The Play: Wizards +8.5
🎯 Over/Under + Player Props [PREMIUM ONLY]:
✅ Over/Under: Under 218.0
✅ Prop Bets:
Bam Adebayo Over 10.5 Rebounds
Khris Middleton Under 14.5 Points
📍 Atlanta Hawks at Memphis Grizzlies (-9.0) ⏰ 8:00 PM ET
The Breakdown:
Memphis is rolling lately but there also a tough team to trust. Ja Morant looking dangerous, Atlanta can’t stop anyone defensively, but the Grizzlies need to also play much better defense. This should be a high-scoring affair and if Atlanta can get hot here I think they can hang in this game and cover. The over under is set at 253, which is insane. I’m putting my money on Atlanta and this will be one of my bigger bets of the day.
🔹 The Play: Hawks +9
🎯 Over/Under + Player Props [PREMIUM ONLY]:
✅ Over/Under: Under 253.0
✅ Prop Bets:
Trae Young Over 24.5 Points
Trae Young 30+ Points (+200)
📍 Houston Rockets at Oklahoma City Thunder (-9.5) ⏰ 8:00 PM ET
The Breakdown:
OKC is one of the most balanced teams in the West and they’re also very good at home. The Rockets have young talent, rebound well, and play some defense. Houston has a ton of little injuries for this one — with about 6 or more key guys listed on the injury report as questionable. OKC should handle business at home, but the Rockets are always tough so I am staying away from this one.
🔹 The Play: Thunder -9.5 (If Rockets players all play, I would probably take Houston but too much unknown right now.)
🎯 Over/Under + Player Props [PREMIUM ONLY]:
✅ Over/Under: Under 228.0
✅ Prop Bets:
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Over 30.5 Points
Alperan Sengun Under 20.5 Points
📍 Sacramento Kings at Dallas Mavericks (-2.5) ⏰ 8:30 PM ET
The Breakdown:
The Mavericks are hard to figure out each night, but they’re decent at home. The Kings have stayed competitive but overall seem like a mid tier team that lacks defensive intensity. Expect Dallas to control the boards but I think the Kings might cover in a close game. I don’t love this game — I’d probably wait for a live bet on one side or the other because I think it finishes close.
🔹 The Play: Kings +2.5
🎯 Over/Under + Player Props [PREMIUM ONLY]:
✅ Over/Under: Over 231.0
✅ Prop Bets:
Zach LaVine Over 23.5 Points
Malik Monk Under 18.5 Points
📍 Detroit Pistons at Utah Jazz (+9.0) ⏰ 9:00 PM ET
The Breakdown:
Utah has been pretty at home, while the Pistons are very hot but not the same team on the road as they are at home. Normally, I’d love taking the Jazz here at +9 at home, but they’ve got a ton of guys out in this one and I don’t imagine they’ll hang around. Plus, that home court is always empty over in Utah when I watch on TV! With Kessler and Markkanen potentlaly out, the Pistons have a big advantage inside. As of yesterday, the Jazz had Sexton, Kessler, Collins, and Markkanen out with Clarkson as day-to-day.
🔹 The Play: Pistons -9 (if all these guys are out for Utah)
🎯 Over/Under + Player Props [PREMIUM ONLY]:
✅ Over/Under: Under 233.0
✅ Prop Bets:
Jalen Duren Over 13.5 Points
Cade Cunningham Under 5.5 Rebounds
🏀College Basketball Picks & Analysis Today - Monday, 3/3
📍 Wake Forest at #2 Duke (-19.5) ⏰ 7:00 PM ET
The Breakdown: Duke is set to host Wake Forest for their final home game on Senior Day at Cameron Indoor Stadium. The Blue Devils have been dominant this season, boasting a strong record and a top national ranking — they also just seem to cover all the big spreads. Wake Forest, on the other hand, has struggled recently, impacting their NCAA resume with losses to Florida State, NC State, and Virginia. Duke's offense, led by standout freshman Cooper Flagg, has been explosive, averaging 82.3 points per game. Wake Forest's defense has been inconsistent, allowing opponents to exploit mismatches frequently. Given these factors, the 19.5-point spread seems justified.
🔹 The Play: Duke -19.5
🎯 Over/Under + Player Props [PREMIUM ONLY]:
✅ Over/Under: Over 145.0
✅ Prop Bets:
Cooper Flagg Over 19.5 Points
Cameron Hildreth Under 16.5 Points
📍 Kansas at #4 Houston (-9.5) ⏰ 9:00 PM ET
The Breakdown: The Houston Cougars have been impressive this season, holding a 25-4 record and clinching the Big 12 regular-season title. Their defense has been stifling, allowing just 58.0 points per game, the best in the nation. Kansas has struggled on the road, going 1-4 against the spread in their last five away games, but Kansas showed up in their last game. I might go with Kansas to cover here and finish strong — they might get into the tournament and surprise some people, coming full circle back to where they started the season because the talent is there.
🔹 The Play: Kansas +9.5
🎯 Over/Under + Player Props [PREMIUM ONLY]:
✅ Over/Under: Under 134.0
✅ Prop Bets (estimates):
LJ Cryer Over 14.5 Points
Hunter Dickinson Under 8.5 Rebounds
