Live Bet Scenarios💰
What a great first day of action. I was literally on my computer from 5am until 10pm watching games and live betting. I have a serious problem! 🤣
But seriously, I think there are some great opportunities with two live bet scenarios to keep an eye on that I’ve been using.
The team that is the better team gets off to a great start (up 10-15 points all game) and then gives up their lead around the early second half. There’s no exact number here but this happened multiple times yesterday. You feel like the better team is up and in control and they give back a lead — now the inferior team has cut that lead to 3-4 points. Often at this time, you’ll get a -3 or -3.5 live bet when the live bet was previously sitting around -8 or -10 most of the game. That is a good bet to take. You’ll know you’re in trouble if the team surrenders the lead and goes down by more than 1-3 points. Usually, this works out really well.
A team is getting beat that is favored and they are just being controlled vs. having a poor shooting day or turning the bal over. There are two ways to lose: making mistakes and getting forced into a gameflow, tempo, or style that you do not play. A really good example yesterday was Missouri and Drake. Missouri pays uptempo and fast, while Drake slows things down. The entire game was played at Drake’s tempo. Even though the original spread was -6 in favor of Missouri, I had no problem grabbing Drake -3 at half because 1) they were up 10 (OG spread was 6) and 2) they were controlling the game and pace. This also happened with McNeese State and Clemson. I grabbed McNeese at -1 knowing the game was a defensive battle and Clemson is down 10 points — there’s no way they’ll win given their lack of firepower.
