Saturday MLB Betting Picks – June 28

Here’s the 5 best bets for today’s MLB slate.

Yankees -1.5 (-135) vs Athletics

The Yankees get a soft matchup at home against the A’s. Clarke Schmidt takes the mound for New York and has been solid lately with a 2.1 ERA projection and a 5.5 strikeout expectation. The A’s struggle to generate runs and are one of the worst road teams in baseball. Back the Yankees run line to avoid paying the bloated -270 moneyline.

Tigers ML (-150) vs Twins

Bailey Ober is getting overvalued here. His strikeout rate is way down this year, and he’s allowing more fly balls and home runs than usual. The Tigers' lineup profiles well against him, and Casey Mize projects for a quality start. Detroit’s home park and bullpen edge help close this out. We’re avoiding the run line and just going with the moneyline here.
