🏀 NBA Betting & Matchup Analysis – March 8, 2025
📍 Brooklyn Nets at Charlotte Hornets (+4.5)
The Breakdown:
The Brooklyn Nets have been inconsistent this season, particularly on the road. The Charlotte Hornets, despite their struggles, have been more competitive at home. The Nets may be missing Cameron Johnson, which could impact their offensive flow. Given the Hornets’ ability to stay competitive at home, this should be a close matchup. I feel like it’s a pretty 50/50 call on this one so 4.5 is a lot of points at home. I’ll take the Hornets. LaMelo Ball has been shooting poorly lately and needs to step it up this game.

The Breakdown:
The Houston Rockets have been dominant at home, while the Pelicans have been a disaster on the road. The Rockets own the Pelicans this year, but 8 points is a very tough one here to cover. With Zion in the lineup, the Pelicans do have some upside, but they’ve been also prone to random blowouts. One of the true difficult teams to figure out. Jalen Green has really been struggling the last 3 games after being hot the previous 5 games. His shot volume is definitely down since Jabari Smith came back and it feels like this teams is trying to figure out the rotation with a lot of good young players. The Rockets don’t have a ton of height inside so I think Zion could do well here. Tari Eason has been very consistent lately and now his lines have come up to where they should be.
