🏀NBA Play-In Preview + ⚾️Baseball Bets Today - Thursday, 4/17

We got two games left to determine the playoffs and who will jump into those number 8 seeds.

I have a pretty strong opinion on the first game: I think the Heat are going to beat the Hawks. As long as the Heat can play the type of defense they showed against the Bulls, I think the Hawks are just a weaker team who can’t handle pressure and also can’t play defense. The Magic showed a great scheme by putting larger defenders on Trae Young and it really frustrated him. The Hawks are just a soft team. They do play better at home, but Miami is just the better all-around team in my view.

The spread for this one is sitting at 6.5 points with the Grizzlies favored at home. I think we know who the better team is here, but could the Mavs shake this game up with that strong defense and interior presence? I don’t think they’re going to be able to carry that last performance into this one. The Kings are not a good team at all and it showed. Memphis is much better, although the Grizzlies need to find their defense still.

I think the Grizzlies take this one. If they play how they did against the Warriors, they should move on easily.

I also like Grizzlies 1st Q -2. I think they jump out to an early lead.
